RazrRails V2 Modular
Floatboxx RazrRails are a rail and box system specifically designed for racing and travelling. We want to move the sport to the next level by providing special racing boards.
The V2 modular version of the RazrRails has these changes compared to the uni-body V1 RazrRails:
- 2 separate boxes with 2 aluminum axle arms for customizable angle, better motor cooling, travelling more compact
- 2 settings for small and large tires (up to 312 mm between boxes)
- mounting points for fender/flightfins (XR style)
- 2 mm extra internal height (30 mm total compared to 28 mm)
- hole for M16 switch/button
Pre-orders, with 5°/5° Axle Arms like our champ Float_Flexi, are open untill November 15th, 2025. Delivery January 2026

Construction
Stainless steel battery and VESC boxes, laserwelded. Brushed finish on the visible surfaces.
Axle arms in Aluminum.
All connections with cable glands.
Maximum physical clearance / low CoG with 3 riding heights
RazrRails Modular are 30 mm razor slim rails for onewheels excluding footpad, compared to 46 mm for stock XR and 49 mm for XR with Bang Bumpers.
Footpads
RazrRails are compatible with all XR type of footpads.
The footpads are the lid to access the battery and controller compartments. Dust and water sealing is done via a foam patch. Fast access to the compartments by removing the footpads with only 4 screws (up to 6, depending on your footpad type and setup).
The footpads are supported by internal vertical walls between the packs to avoid compressing the battery.
Stiff footpads (stock, Surestance) can be used as such. Flexible footpads require our CXC footpad support plates for stiff = splash-waterproof sealing.
VESC mounting
The VESC is mounted on a 4 mm aluminum heatsink that is bolted to the bottom of the RazrRails, and as such is directly air-cooled. The heatsink falls within the extremities of tire and bumper so does not touch ground on straight surfaces. An extra 4 mm spacer is supplied if you use the Tronic 250R with vertical capacitors.

Battery
We designed the Razr Rails for 5 six-packs of 21700 cells. So there is space for up to 30 21700 Li-ion cells. In this maximum configuration there is no space for a BMS. Charging without BMS is not advised. We charge regularly via an external BMS to check the balance and state of the cells.
Battery pack maximum dimensions 133x77x23 mm with short cables ~40 mm
- Modular Rails have 27 mm inside height so you use foam padding to protect the battery packs.
- The box area has 28,5 mm height below the footpads.
We advise Molicel P45B as they allow a discharge of up to 45A.
The following configurations are possible.
- 5x 6s1p for 30s1p (486 Wh capacity, 50% more than stock XR)
- 4x 6s1p for 24s1p and BMS (389 Wh capacity, 20% more than stock XR)
- 5x 3s2p for 15s2p (486 Wh capacity, 50% more than stock XR)
- 4x 5s1p for 20s1p and BMS (324 Wh capacity = stock XR)

Bumpers
Front and rear bumpers are to be 3D printed by the user. They only cover the front (rear) of the box but not the bottom (similar to Onewheel+ bumpers). A small handle sits in the bumper. The 3D file will become available.

Front <> Rear
What is the rear of a Onewheel?
As RazrRails are very balanced, the rear, or heavy side is either the side with 3 battery packs or in the case of 24s1p, the side with the VESC.
A Kush footpad in the rear also helps to tip the scale...
